Hyperactive cop Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) rejoins staid partner Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) in an explosive sequel to their first mega-destructive action thriller. This time they set their sights on a gang of sinister and hopelessly stereotypical South African villains who are plotting to traffick drugs into the US via their embassy. Joe Pesci makes his first appearance in the franchise and Joss Ackland leads the bad guys, while Patsy Kensit is on hand as the love interest
