A seemingly dizzy teenager is heartbroken when her boyfriend dumps her, claiming she's not intelligent enough to help his political career - and resolves to get into Harvard and prove him wrong, leading to all manner of hilarious fish-out-of-water moments. Endearing comedy with the requisite Hollywood moral message, starring Reese Witherspoon, Luke Wilson and Selma Blair. The film proved so popular, a sequel was released in 2003
