Three very different Land Army agricultural volunteers are sent to work on a farm - where they all fall head over heels for the owner's son, leading to romance, heartbreak and tragedy. Contrived, predictable wartime drama, with the attractive trio of leading ladies - Catherine McCormack, Anna Friel and Rachel Weisz - slipping comfortably into stereotypical characterisations, and staying there come hell or high water.
