Movie (2004)
A young firefighter becomes trapped in a burning building and, aware his chances of survival are slim, reflects on the events which led him to his chosen career. Flashbacks examine his rise from the station's laughing stock to a respected member of the team, and the effect his dangerous profession has had on his family, while in the present, his determined mentor battles to get him out of the building alive. Joaquin Phoenix stars in this predictable and overblown drama, while John Travolta plays the captain who refuses to give up hope. Also starring Jacinda Barrett and Robert Patrick
