Director Lynne Stopkewich's controversial debut feature, a risque drama about an undertaker who turns to necrophilia in the hope of finding sexual fulfilment, much to her boyfriend's dismay. It's a bold attempt to confront a social taboo, and the discretion and dreamy atmosphere turn what could have been a stomach-churning topic into an initially engaging cinematic study - but it soon runs out of steam, and viewers may struggle to stay interested.
