Movie (1950)
A rugged soldier of fortune agrees to help a desperate woman locate her missing husband, who's disappeared while seeking treasure in Africa. The plucky explorers are soon trekking into the uncharted heart of the vast continent, encountering all manner of perils in death-defying fashion along the way. Classic adventure based on the hugely popular tale by H Rider Haggard, but with an extra dollop of romance added for good measure. Stewart Granger stars as heroic Allan Quatermain, alongside Deborah Kerr, Richard Carlson, Hugo Haas and Lowell Gilmore
