Oscar-winning fact-based account of an American reporter's harrowing experiences in Seventies Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge's fight for control of the country, focusing on his relationship with his native guide, who he fears may become a victim of the frighteningly violent regime. It's so evocative, many viewers may find it difficult to watch - few films are so powerfully realised - but it is an incredible experience, and one which is not to be missed.
