Disney's classic feature-length animation based on Rudyard Kipling's story of Mowgli, a boy raised by wolves and protected by his jungle friends Baloo the Bear and Bagheera the Panther from fearsome tiger Shere Khan. The much-loved soundtrack includes songs The Bare Necessities, I Wanna Be Like You, and Trust in Me, with the voices of George Sanders, Phil Harris, Sebastian Cabot and Sterling Holloway. This was the last film Walt Disney personally oversaw : legend has it he didn't want the cast and crew to have read Kipling's tale, so they wouldn't be influenced by his writing
