Movie (2002)
In the 1930s African-American boxer Joe Louis was heralded as a symbol of hope and achievement, while German fighter Max Schmeling was unwillingly idolised by the Nazi propaganda machine. Despite being fierce rivals in the ring, the two figures had a mutual respect outside of it. Steve James's fact-based drama explores the pair's unlikely friendship, and stars Leonard Roberts, Til Schweiger and Peta Wilson
