Movie (1939)
Excellent and endlessly exciting Western based on the exploits of the notorious James brothers. The pair embark on a life of crime to avenge their mother's murder at the hands of a vicious landowner, hoping to bring his apparent good fortune to an end by wreaking havoc on the railroads, in which he has a sizeable stake. Tyrone Power is on fantastic form as the eponymous outlaw, who is portrayed rather more heroically than usual in this offering, while Henry Fonda plays his brother. Nancy Kelly and Randolph Scott also star
