Movie (1942)
World War Two drama, directed by David Lean and Noel Coward, who also wrote the screenplay and stars as the captain of a British destroyer. When the vessel is torpedoed during the battle of Crete, the crew are left clinging to the wreckage and recall their previous adventures at sea - and the reasons why they signed up in the first place. The cast includes John Mills, Bernard Miles, Celia Johnson, and Richard Attenborough making his film debut. Part of the Summer of British Film season
