Movie (1950)
A quick-tempered screenwriter becomes chief suspect in the murder of a nightclub cloakroom attendant who was seen leaving his house. A sympathetic neighbour agrees to provide him with an alibi. However, her growing doubts over his innocence drive him to violence, which only compromises his case. Film noir suspense thriller, based on the novel by Dorothy B Hughes, with Humphrey Bogart, Gloria Grahame, Frank Lovejoy and Carlton Benton Reid
