This comedy is a nicely played portrait of human behaviour, studying the relationship between bickering old pals Walter Matthau and Ossie Davis, who meet each day on the same park bench to air their conflicting views on life, love and anything else that captures their attention. While time freewheels past them, they struggle to come to terms with the trials of old age, and the threat of becoming useless to society, but eventually get a chance to prove their worth.
