Aspiring author Camille Keaton rents a cabin in order to start work on a writing project. However, her stay descends into a nightmare when she is brutally raped by a group of seemingly friendly local men. Humiliated and shell-shocked by the attack, she gradually rebuilds her strength and delivers a chilling revenge on each of them. Often called a cult classic, this low-budget horror features perhaps the most disturbing scene ever captured on celluloid, which explains why it was originally banned by the censors.
