Synopsis:
Star-studded, but ultimately unsatisfying epic drama based on the novel by Isabel Allende, tracing a South American family from dubious beginnings in the peaceful 1920s through to the turbulent events of the 1970s when the Chilean government was overthrown by the military dictatorship of General Pinochet.
