Movie (1996)
A hard-nosed businessman returns to his home town in Nebraska bearing bad news - there are to be large-scale redundancies at the factory which supports most of the families in the area - but as the season of goodwill draws near, he finds himself falling in love with a member of the workforce. It's a sweet and harmless enough idea and on-screen chemistry between the leads gives it a bit of extra impact, but it still isn't enough to stop it feeling flat and lacking festive cheer.
