Mel Brooks and a considerably talented cast cover man's progress toward civilisation in a riotous comedy divided into five sequences. Among the famous historic events given a hilarious twist are the emergence of Moses with the three stone tablets bearing the 15 commandments, plus an alternative depiction of the Last Supper. Co-starring Gregory Hines, Sid Caesar, Madeline Kahn and Dom DeLuise, with narration by Orson Welles.
