Samurai warrior Munezo sets out to save a farm girl who once worked as a servant in his house from her abusive husband. Despite their strong feelings for each other, the pair are driven apart by class difference, and when Munezo's rescue of her creates a scandal, he is forced to send her away. Meanwhile, an imprisoned comrade-in-arms of Munezo's escapes, and the samurai is forced to prove his incorruptibility by hunting down his old friend. Romantic drama, starring Masatoshi Nagase and Takako Matsu
