An overweight pizza chef working for his domineering mother in a run-down diner falls for a pretty waitress, but can't overcome his shyness to ask her out - but an unexpected series of events prompts him to make big changes, which affect all those around him. Well-observed small-town drama from director James Mangold, who does an excellent job considering it's his big-screen directorial debut.
