The Heart of the Earth
Movie (2007)
Set in 19th-century Spain, this historical tale, based on fact, tells the story of a miners' rebellion against the owners of the toxic pits in which they work, which are poisoning the locals. The mine is run by the British, who bring in soldiers to quash the rebellion with force. Fifteen years on, though, the miners are ready to rebel again and the new boss must decide if he also wants blood on his hands. In Spanish with English subtitles.
