Synopsis:
A bohemian artist in Thirties England falls for the considerable charms of her brother-in-law - and when he makes his illicit intentions clear, she finds herself embroiled in a passionate betrayal of her strait-laced sister. This period drama looks wonderful, but uneven storytelling leaves it with a bitty feel. Luckily, the top-notch cast - headed by Helena Bonham Carter, Paul Bettany and Olivia Williams - make a great job of their roles
