Synopsis:
Film noir, starring Humphrey Bogart in his final role as a washed-up sports reporter hired by seedy boxing promoter Rod Steiger as a press agent for his latest client - an imposing but physically weak fighter, blissfully unaware that his every victory is the result of match fixing. But when the naive young boxer's run of phoney success leads him into the ring with the reigning champion, the hard-bitten journalist suffers a crisis of conscience.
