Movie (1969)
A British PoW is assigned to work in a Munich zoo for the duration of World War Two. He soon forms a bond with a valuable elephant, becoming so fond of the creature that when he gets a chance to escape, he takes the animal with him on a trek across the Austrian Alps. It's hardly believable, but that doesn't spoil the fun in this cheering comedy drama. Oliver Reed, Michael J Pollard and John Alderton head the cast. Directed by Michael Winner
