Confederate soldiers capture Yankee gold, but are forced to go on the run when they realise the American Civil War has ended. Their worries are worsened when they are besieged by bandits with designs on the loot. Smart Western, starring Randolph Scott, Donna Reed, Lee Marvin and Richard Denning, and written and directed by Roy Huggins, who also created the popular television drama The Fugitive
