Movie (2007)
Musical reinvention of the cult movie, with newcomer Nikki Blonsky as Tracy, an overweight teenager in 1960s Baltimore, who pursues her dream of appearing on a teen dance show. However, a jealous rival and her scheming mother are determined to destroy her ambition - especially when Tracy turns her attention to fighting racism in her community. The impressive cast includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, James Marsden, Queen Latifah, and John Travolta in drag as Blonsky's mothera.
