A disillusioned, gun-shy sheriff returns from the American Civil War to find tension and violence in his home town, prompting him to strap on his six-shooters once again. Low-key Western which fails to make an impact on viewers, although Fifties rock 'n' roller Bobby Darin acquits himself surpriseingly well as the leading man.
