Synopsis:
John Wayne hangs up his Stetson and chaps to star alongside David Janssen and Jim Hutton in this flawed, yet action-packed adventure about two Army detachments sent to fight in the jungles of Vietnam. The Duke also co-directs, while his son Michael produced the film which, on its release in the States, was criticised by veterans for its romanticised portrayal of the conflict, despite the star's heroic stature among some older American servicemen
