Synopsis:
Ageing sheriff Robert Mitchum is left twiddling his thumbs when a pompous official forces him to retire. The boredom looks set to be broken after he learns a gang of upstarts are plotting to rob a train. But when no one will heed his warnings, the former lawman must forge an alliance with an old adversary.
