Movie (1983)
A dying emperor declares his chief general as his heir. The dead ruler's wife arranges a marriage to a princess, but it later emerges the general is in love with a courtesan, who has already had his child. The courtesan is banished, but years later, history repeats itself when the general's son falls for the daughter of a prostitute. Period drama, starring Shashi Kapoor and Smita Patil
