Synopsis:
Brendan Gleeson is utterly outstanding in the lead role of this fictionalised biopic of Dublin crimelord Martin Cahill, a dangerously unstable figure whose frequent outbursts of psychotic violence contrasted sharply with his otherwise warm, often likeable personality, following his life from childhood to his assassination in 1994. Also starring Jon Voight and Adrian Dunbar, and directed by acclaimed film-maker John Boorman, who himself claims to have been robbed by Cahill
