Synopsis:
Gene Hackman reprises his role as hard-nosed New York narcotics cop Popeye Doyle, tracking a drug-dealer to his lair in Marseilles. However, it's a course of action he soon lives to regret. John Frankenheimer's thriller doesn't quite match the pace and excitement of the original, but it's still an entertaining offering - although not for the faint-hearted. Fernando Rey, Bernard Fresson, Jean-Pierre Castaldi and Charles Millot co-star. Includes at 12.25am RTE News, Weather and An Evening Prayer
