Movie (1991)
Michelle Pfeiffer puts in an award-winning performance as lonely waitress Frankie who's been scarred by her past relationships. Al Pacino stars as former convict Johnny, who acquires a love of cooking and fine literature during his time behind bars. On his release he gets a job as a short-order cook in the same restaurant, and immediately falls in love with Frankie - but her painful past experiences lead her to try and keep him at arms' length. Emotional romantic drama, with the sterling cast bolstered by Hector Elizondo, Nathan Lane, Greg Lewis, and Kate Nelligan in a Bafta-winning supporting role.
