Alfred Hitchcock's classic espionage thriller about an American reporter (Joel McCrea) who gets caught up with Nazi spies in Europe. The respected director used his penchant for grand settings to great effect here, creating a real sense of tension, which outweighs the less-than-perfect casting. Also starring Laraine Day, Herbert Marshall, Edmund Gwenn and Robert Benchley
