Movie (2006)
Ricky Gervais joins the team of regulars for Spinal Tap creator Christopher Guest's latest spoof documentary. Aiming his comedic cannon directly at the film industry, Guest's comedy highlights the desperation, greed and absurdity of life in Hollywood. During the filming of a 1940s-set family drama, actors Catherine O'Hara, Harry Shearer and Parker Posey hear rumours of a possible Oscar nomination, sending the cast, director, producers and company boss into a spin - much to the dismay of the screenwriters. Co-writer Eugene Levy, Jennifer Coolidge, Michael McKean and Fred Willard star alongside Guest himself.
