Movie (1980)
Chilling thriller, based on John Carpenter's novel. The residents of a small Californian coastal community are happily preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of their little village. They don't know that their home town has a nasty secret - that the founding fathers betrayed a leper colony and killed the sufferers. But they're about to find out the awful truth, as the ghosts of lepers rise and seek revenge. John Carpenter's then-wife Adrienne Barbeau stars, alongside Hal Holbrook, Janet Leigh, and her daughter Jamie Lee Curtis. A recent remake failed to live up to this original.
