Five Children and It

A gang of children struggle to get used to life in the countryside when they're evacuated to live with their eccentric uncle during World War One. Their worries are soon forgotten when they encounter a mysterious creature who offers to grant them one wish each day - but they soon learn to be careful what they ask for, with each request leading to unexpected problems. Reasonable fantasy adventure, adapted from the classic tale by E Nesbit, which is enlivened no end by the casting of Eddie Izzard as the voice of the magical creature.
