Movie (1956)
Biopic of Sam Houston, the Tennessee lawyer who ended up leading the fight for Texan Independence. Houston arrives in Texas in an effort to escape a scandal - but it's not long before events overtake him and he finds himself embroiled in the struggle against Mexican upstarts who are trying to claim the state as their own. Ponderous Western, with a solid performance from Joel McCrea, also starring Felicia Farr and Jeff Morrow.
