Movie (1942)
Stirring biopic, directed by and starring Leslie Howard, chronicling the life of RJ Mitchell, whose determination to design a streamlined monoplane led to the development of the Spitfire. David Niven was granted special leave from the military to appear in the film, alongside Rosamund John and Roland Culver. Sadly, Howard never saw the release of the finished work - his own plane was shot down by the Germans in 1943
