Movie (1989)
With acclaimed film-maker Sidney Lumet directing and a good cast including Sean Connery, Matthew Broderick and Dustin Hoffman, this crime comedy looked like a sure-fire winner. Sadly, something went awry in the production and although watchable, it lacks the necessary impact to make it work. It's the formulaic tale of three generations of crooks who decide to pull off a bank robbery together - only for the job to go seriously wrong
