American singer-songwriter John Mellencamp makes his acting and directorial debut in this drama, which sees him playing a Country and Western star who returns to his Indiana home town to find old family conflicts still unresolved. Neglecting his long-suffering wife and beginning an affair with an old flame, he realises he may be doomed to repeat his father's mistakes.
