Synopsis:
A psychiatrist becomes obsessed with a tragic young woman who's been made a virtual prisoner by her crazed elderly husband, who views her as a possession. However, the doctor's well-meant intervention leads only to deceit and madness, culminating in violent confrontation. Intelligent and thought-provoking murder mystery with lashings of atmosphere. The great cast is topped by Hedy Lamarr, George Brent and Paul Lukas
