The Emerald Forest

This fact-based Amazon adventure is a treat for the eyes, but sadly the staid script could have done with a few tweaks. Powers Boothe stars as an American engineer working in Brazil who is devastated when his son is kidnapped by a local tribe known as the 'Invisible People', thanks to their camouflage skills. It's not long before officials tell him there's little chance of finding the boy - but he steadfastly refuses to give up hope, and spends 10 years obsessively searching for the youngster in the steamy jungles of South America.
