Movie (1985)
This fact-based Amazon adventure is a treat for the eyes, but sadly the staid script could have done with a few tweaks. Powers Boothe stars as an American engineer working in Brazil who is devastated when his son is kidnapped by a local tribe known as the 'Invisible People', thanks to their camouflage skills. It's not long before officials tell him there's little chance of finding the boy - but he steadfastly refuses to give up hope, and spends 10 years obsessively searching for the youngster in the steamy jungles of South America. Charley Boorman, son of the film's director John also stars, with Meg Foster and Estee Chandler
