Agnes Bruckner stars as Audrey, a teenager who dedicates her life to pleasing other people and caring for her father, an agoraphobic man still mourning the death of his wife. When a handsome boy moves into her neighbourhood, Audrey seizes the opportunity to set her best friend, Calista, up on a date with him. However, the compassionate girl soon begins to develop feelings for the newcomer herself, and she realises that pursuing her own happiness means jeopardising her bond with Calista.
