Sentimental comedy about four mental patients let loose in New York. A psychiatrist decides his group therapy patients need to experience life outside the institution, so takes them on a day trip into the city. But when the doctor is attacked and rushed to hospital in a coma, the mismatched foursome are left to fend for themselves.
