Movie (1946)
Gothic melodrama, starring Vincent Price as a Nicholas Van Ryn, a wealthy Dutch immigrant living in 1840s New York, who loathes his wife for not providing him with a son. When the man becomes infatuated with a visiting distant relative, he poisons his wife so that the two can marry, and they are soon blessed with a child. However, the early death of his only son proves too much for Nicholas, and he is driven over the edge, putting his new spouse in danger.
