Movie (1946)
Gothic melodrama, starring Vincent Price as a Nicholas Van Ryn, a wealthy Dutch immigrant living in 1840s New York, who loathes his wife for not providing him with a son. When the man becomes infatuated with a visiting distant relative, he poisons his wife so that the two can marry, and they are soon blessed with a child. However, the early death of his only son proves too much for Nicholas, and he is driven over the edge, putting his new spouse in danger. Gothic melodrama, with Gene Tierney, Vivienne Osborne, Walter Huston and Glenn Langan
