Meera (Ayesha Takia) is devastated when her husband is murdered while working in Saudi Arabia. During her period of mourning, the widow's life is brightened by the arrival in her town of Zeenat, a Muslim woman, and the pair soon become close friends. However, Meera's life is thrown into even greater turmoil when she learns that Zeenat is the wife of her husband's killer, and she is seeking to obtain Meera's forgiveness in order for her spouse to be released from prison.
