Two fallen angels pull out all the stops to worm their way back into Heaven after being banished by God (played by Canadian songstress Alanis Morissette), but their fumbling attempts to prove their worth only lead them even further from salvation. Controversial comedy fantasy, the first in a double bill of films from Clerks director Kevin Smith. The film came under fire from religious groups on release, but rises above the furore to stand out as a brilliantly funny piece of satire. Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Linda Fiorentino, Salma Hayek, Jason Lee and Alan Rickman star. Smith himself makes another appearance as cult hero Silent Bob, accompanied, as ever, by Jason Mewes' Jay
