Concerned French nobleman Christopher Lee (playing a goodie for once) begins to think there's something odd about a close friend's behaviour. And he's not wrong - turns out his beleaguered pal has fallen foul of a coven of Satanists, led by sinister smoothie Charles Gray. And they've set their sights on his soul. Classic, nerve-jangling Hammer horror based on a novel by Dennis Wheatley, with Patrick Mower, Leon Greene and Paul Eddington. Shown as part of the Horror season.
