Movie (1990)
A strong sense of deja vu runs through director Tony Scott's noisy motor racing drama about an arrogant driver out to seize the reigning champion's crown, before a serious crash jeopardises his chances of ever racing again. Star Tom Cruise may be at the wheel of a racing car instead of an F-14, but essentially it's Top Gun with wheels. Lazy big-budget thrills, with Robert Duvall, Randy Quaid, John C Reilly and Cruise's future wife Nicole Kidman
