Movie (1978)
Terrence Malick's acclaimed period drama, set in the early 20th century, stars Richard Gere as a labourer named Bill who goes on the run with his young sister Linda and girlfriend Abby. the group settle in Texas, where the two adults begin working on a wealthy but ailing farmer's ranch. They soon discover their new employer has developed feelings for Abby, believing her to be Bill's sibling rather than partner. Recognising a chance to escape their life of poverty, Bill encourages Abby to marry the dying man, little realising it will result in a jealous love triangle.
